Global Baseball Series Logo
Assigned to develop the official identity for the Global Baseball Series hosted at Toyota Field, this project required a disciplined response to a highly structured brief. The three-day exhibition brought together an international roster of participants, including Japan’s Toyota Red Cruisers, the Rocket City Trash Pandas, and regional collegiate programs such as Alabama A&M University and the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Positioned just ahead of the Minor League Baseball season, the series functioned as both a competitive showcase and a cultural exchange, connecting North Alabama’s deep ties to Toyota with the broader global language of baseball. The visual direction needed to harmonize the established brand language of the Rocket City Trash Pandas with a more universal, internationally driven tone.
The resulting mark was designed to operate at the intersection of baseball and global connectivity. Emphasis was placed on clarity, scalability, and symbolic cohesion, ensuring the identity could perform across stadium signage, apparel, and digital applications. The two stars represent the two countries that participated in the event: USA and Japan. Through controlled typography, deliberate iconography, and a refined color strategy, the logo establishes a sense of occasion while positioning the series as both a community-centered event and an outward-facing celebration of baseball’s global reach. Particular attention was given to balancing the energy and visual traditions of American baseball with subtle international cues, allowing the identity to feel cohesive within the Trash Pandas’ ecosystem while distinctly representing the global nature of the event.
